Alpena Health Center is a nonprofit federally qualified community health center. Its team provides medical, behavioral health and dental services. It has multiple locations in Michigan and offers a patient-centered medical home model. Its mission is to provide access to healthcare with an emphasis on quality, transparency and accountability.

The facility has a staff of more than 100 physicians, nurses and other medical professionals. It also offers a variety of specialty programs and services. Its employees are trained to deliver compassionate care to patients of all ages. They specialize in family medicine, gynecology, obstetrics and pulmonology.

It is important to schedule your appointments as far in advance as possible to ensure that you receive the service that you need. You can use the online appointment booking system to do so. You can also call the office to make an appointment with a specific provider. It is best to bring your insurance card and a list of all medications you are currently taking. You can also bring a copy of your medical records to your appointment.

The center offers a walk-in clinic for non-emergency medical issues such as fevers, coughs, earaches and other common illnesses. It is staffed by a medical provider who may be a nurse practitioner, physician assistant or an MD. Patients can also get assistance with medication refills and other routine health care issues.

This facility is located in Alpena and offers a full range of women’s healthcare including obstetrics, menopause management, birth control, cervical cancer screening, breast health education and counseling. Its OB/GYN specialists are certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. They have over 20 years of experience in providing the highest level of women’s health care.

A new building will be constructed at the Health Center-Alpena campus on U.S.-23 North to house both medical and behavioral health services. Pediatricians Leah Conboy and Mari Anderson, as well as child/adolescent psychiatrist Adrienne Westphal will move into the new space when it is completed. The new facility will provide easier access to both medical and behavioral health care for children.

The facility has a dedicated team of physicians and nurses to assist patients with their mental health needs. Its psychiatrists have many years of experience treating patients of all ages and can help with a wide range of conditions, from minor to complex. They are committed to assisting patients with getting the care that they need and offer a safe and secure environment for individuals to talk about their problems.
