Alpena Health Center is a Patient Centered Medical Home

Located in Alpena Michigan, alpena health center serves the Tip of the Mitt communities of Montmorency, Alpena, Presque Isle, Cheboygan, and Oscoda Counties. This non profit Federally Qualified Community Health Center is a Patient Centered Medical Home, offering medical, behavioral health, dental and pharmacy services. Medicaid, Medicare and most insurances accepted. Income based sliding fee available.

Originally established in 1978 in Lincoln, MI, alpena health center now has locations throughout northern Michigan. With a strong commitment to the community, alpena health center strives to provide quality care at a reasonable cost regardless of one’s ability to pay. The facility is a Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) Deemed Facility.

Courtney Witulski, FNP-BC practices family medicine. She studied at Alpena Community College and went on to Spring Arbor University and Frontier Nursing University, achieving progressive degrees. She has a special interest in women’s health and pediatrics.

Sarah Hainstock, FNP-C also practices family medicine and completed her Master’s degree at the University of Michigan (Flint). She has a background in women’s health, infant care, and has experience providing home births. She also holds radiology and cat scan licenses RT(R)(CT).

Vicki Konczak-Miltz, LPC CAADC, NCC, CCS-DP is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in addiction and trauma. She received her Masters in Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University. She has been a member of the recovery services team at AHC for over two years.

AHC’s Pharmacy, located in the Alpena and Lincoln locations, is staffed by Katelyn Kane, PharmD, MBA. A 2019 graduate of Ferris State University, she provides medication education, consultations and counseling for all patients. She is a member of the American Pharmacists Association.

The new pediatric building will be a great asset to the community by offering both behavioral and medical health services under one roof. Pediatricians Leah Conboy and Mari Anderson will be moving to the new location with psychiatric nurse practitioner Joy Newhouse, and child/adolescent psychiatrist Adrienne Westphal.
