The Alcona Health Center was established in Lincoln, Michigan in 1978, and is a non-profit, Federally Qualified medical facility with locations throughout northern Michigan. They provide medical, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to their patients, and accept most insurance plans. In addition, they offer sliding-fee payment options to make their services affordable to those without insurance.

The Alcona Health Center provides quality medical, behavioral health, and pharmacy services to residents in the northern part of Michigan. The facility accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicaid, and offers income-based sliding-fee plans to patients who are uninsured. The Center is also open to new patients.

The Alpena Health Center is part of the MidMichigan Health System, which also owns numerous local clinics in the region. It recently announced plans to construct a $63.5 million patient tower that will house sixty private rooms and include an intensive care unit. It will also feature eight labor and delivery rooms, 44 medical beds, and 18 prep and recovery rooms. In addition, there will be five operating theaters.

While most patients can afford to pay cash for their care, if you need urgent care, you may need to pay a co-pay. Typically, the co-pay for an urgent care visit is between $35 and $75, and may increase if you need lab tests or other services. If you don’t have health insurance, you may have to pay a co-pay between $100 and $250.
