Thelma Orr Memorial Scholarship

Sponsored by the Alpena Regional Medical Center Auxiliary

The Alpena Regional Medical Center Auxiliary offers two $1500.00 scholarships for students pursuing a course of study related to human medicine at any state accredited Michigan college or university. Those intrested in obtaining a scholarship may secure an application from one of the following locations:
    --Area High School Counseling Offices
    --The Gift Corner (located in main lobby of hospital)
    --The Alpena Regional Medical Center Information Desk
    --The Alpena Regional Medical Center Nursing Department
    --The Marketing and Devlopment Dept. on the Third Floor

The Following are requirements for receiving a tuition scholarship:

1. You must be a resident of any county currently served by Alpena Regional Medical Center (Alpena, Alcona, Presque Isle, Montmorency, Iosco and Oscoda counties)
2. The completed application and attachments must be received in the Volunteer Office of Alpena Regional Medical Center no later than April 15, 2006
3. If asked, you must arrange an interview with the scholarship chair or his/her designated alternate
4. Former scholarship applicatns may re-apply, contingment upon meeting all the current requirements of the apllication process
5. The applicant(s) will be notified of the final decision made by the Scholarship Committee after May 13, 2006
6. The recipient(s) will be expected to attend the ARMC Auxiliary Banquet, May 25, 2006 to be recognized for outstanding achievement
   (prior commitments will be taken into consideration)
