Garlyn Gaile Klein Memorial Education Scholarship

The family of Garlyn Gaile Klein established this $1000 Scholarship fund as a tribute to Garlyn who devoted 19 years to nursing. Garlyn respected nursing and was proud of her RN degree which she received from Northern Michigan Community College in 1978. The fund will help students who are pursuing a career as a Registered Nurse. Applicant must be a resident of Presque Isle, Montmorency, Alcona or Alpena counties.

Tuition Award:
• $1000
• It will be awarded on May 15, 2009
• The scholarship will be paid directly to the school

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be a resident of Alpena, Montmorency or Presque Isle County
• GPA must be 3.0 or higher
• You must be a second year student in a nursing curriculum of study at Alpena Community College
• You must demonstrate financial need
• Applicant must include a copy of their Student Aid Report and a signed release form to allow the financial aid office to release need-based information
• A letter of recommendation from the program director
• Submit a current transcript
• Application must be submitted by April 15, 2009 to:
