Development Council What is the Alpena Regional Medical Center Development Council? The Alpena Regional Medical Center Development Council was created in May 1994, when hospital leaders recognized that an uncertain future in hospital funding required the participation of local citizen volunteers. Their efforts help to ensure that Alpena Regional Medical Center remains at the forefront of providing state-of-the-art healthcare and diagnostics The Development Council has set its sights on raising funds to benefit Alpena Regional Medical Center, providing educational programs for local professionals and community members and opportunities for input between citizens, industry and hospital leadership. Members of the Development Council have raised over $8 million and helped to fund the ARMC Endowment Fund, the outpatient renovation/expansion project and construction of the Cancer Center. Over 100 community-minded individuals volunteer their time and talents to benefit ARMC and our area residents. Annual Support Committee The Annual Support Committee's role is to increase the number of donors to our hospital through various giving programs. Business Relations Committee The Business Relations Committee is responsible for establishing and strengthening relationships between the hospital and business organizations. This committee provides business communications, CEO newsletters and business service programs. Community Outreach Committee This committee prepares and organizes special events, offers community service programs and improves communication between the hospital and our community. Planned Gifts Committee The Planned Gifts Committee provides special programs for professionals, financial planning seminars and provides ongoing education in the major areas of planned giving. Special Prospects Committee This committee serves to recognize the efforts of major donors in our area. There are a select number of individuals who are able to demonstrate their support of Alpena Regional Medical Center to a greater degree than others.The Special Prospects Committee recognizes the efforts of those individuals as member of its Keystone Society. These members pledge $10,000 or more to Alpena Regional Medical Center.
