Rehabilitation Services About our services Alpena Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Services offer hospital-based professional treatments and therapies for infants, children, adolescents and adults of all ages. Our patients benefit from the full continuum of care available through Alpena Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Services, which includes inpatient, outpatient and home care services. Members of our rehabilitation staff work together as a team to develop an optimum treatment plan for each individual patient. Together, our goal is to help each patient achieve his or her highest level of independence and functioning in all aspects of daily living: emotional, social and physical. Our multi-disciplinary approach to medical rehabilitation includes the following services:

How do I get ARMC Rehab therapy? A physician’s order is necessary to receive rehabilitation or therapy services at any of the ARMC Rehabilitation Services locations. You have a choice of where to get your therapy, ask your physician for Alpena Regional Medical Center.
If I begin receiving therapy as an inpatient at the hospital, what happens when it is time to go home? Arrangements can be made for continuing outpatient treatment at the location most convenient for you, or you may require in-home services for a period of time. Your physician and discharge planner will discuss these options and determine what continuing services will best meet your health care needs.
May families tour the various ARMC Rehab Services locations when choosing a treatment facility? Patients and families are welcome to tour any of the ARMC Rehab Services locations and meet with a rehabilitation coordinator to discuss the facility and its programs. Are families involved in treatment? Home support is vital to the treatment of each patient. Our staff provides the education and hands-on training needed by family or friends to learn the skills necessary to assist the patient in their therapy program.
How are patients and families kept informed of progress? The staff at ARMC Rehab Services meet regularly with patients and their families to share the information discussed in treatment team conferences.
