Thomas A. & Amy L. Kane Education Scholarship

This $1000 scholarship has been made available by Tom Kane, Director of Cardiopulmonary Services at ARMC, and his wife, Amy Kane, CFNP at Thunder Bay Community Health Services in Hillman. The scholarship is available to a second year student in Respiratory Therapy or Nursing. Applicant must be a resident of Alpena, ­Montmorency or Presque Isle counties.

Tuition Award:
• $1000
• The scholarship will be paid directly to the school

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be a resident of Alpena, Montmorency or Presque Isle County
• GPA must be 3.0 or higher
• Your program of study must be Respiratory Therapy or Nursing
• You must be enrolled as a second year student in your core curriculum of study
• You must demonstrate financial need
• Applicant must include a copy of their Student Aid Report and a signed release form to allow the financial aid office to release need-based information
• You must be enrolled in a Michigan school in a tradition course of study (distance learning programs are not eligible)
• A letter of recommendation from the program director which indicates GPA
• Letters of recommendations (other than your program director) from three people who will address your strengths, skills and any other information that should be taken into consideration.
