Thelma Orr Memorial Scholarship

Sponsored by the Alpena Regional Medical Center Auxiliary

The Alpena Regional Medical Center Auxiliary offers two $1500 scholarships for students pursuing a course of study related to human medicine at any state accredited Michigan college or university. Those intrested in obtaining a scholarship may secure an application from one of the following locations:
    --The Gift Corner (located in main lobby of hospital)
    --Alpena Regional Medical Center Information Desk
    --Alpena Regional Medical Center Nursing Department
    --Marketing and Devlopment Dept. on the Third Floor

The Following are requirements for receiving a tuition scholarship:

1. You must be a resident of any county currently served by Alpena Regional Medical Center (Alpena, Alcona, Presque Isle, Montmorency, Iosco and Oscoda counties).
2. The completed application and attachments must be received in the Volunteer Office of Alpena Regional Medical Center postmarked no later than April 12, 2010.
3. You must be in your second year or more toward your degree.
4. If asked, you must arrange an interview with the scholarship chair or his/her designated alternate.
5. Former scholarship applicatns may re-apply, contingment upon meeting all the current requirements of the apllication process.
6. The applicant(s) will be notified of the final decision made by the Scholarship Committee after May 1, 2010.
7. The recipient(s) will be expected to attend the ARMC Auxiliary Banquet, May 27, 2010 to be recognized for outstanding achievement.
